Big Vintage Imports operates strategically as a small wine importer. Certainly, not “small” in regards to quality, taste or the distinction of its imported bottles, but in relation to the company’s strict philosophy of only doing business with vineyards and distributors in an intimate, personal way.
The vast majority the vineyards that Big Vintage Imports does business with are family owned and operated. Wine constitutes the primary source of income for that family. As in many family businesses, the pride cultivated by multiple generations involved in shaping the operation is evident in the finished product. In all of the countries that we import wine from we are able to find this common characteristic an industry that is more of an art than anything else.
